Hey there! I’m Megan. Welcome to my blog! I’m a Licensed Practical Nurse and a full time RN student. To say the least, the last four years have been a crazy adventure! Three years ago, I graduated from my practical nursing program. I began working at a Skilled Nursing Facility on the Transitional Care Unit as a full time night shift nurse. Two years ago, I returned to college full time to finish my RN prerequisites and earned my Associate of Science Degree. Currently, I am a full time RN student and float pool LPN.
A little about my life outside of the nursing world, I have a boyfriend of 3.5 years who is the best! He is sweet, fun, and we have the best adventures together (I’m lucky to say he has one amazing family too!) I have fantastic parents who have been supportive and loving since day one, and a sister who I am blessed to say is one of my best friends. I also am a mom to two fur babies: our dog, Southpaw, and our cat, Annabelle. In the little bit of free time I have (the struggle is real in nursing school) I love working to improve my cooking skills, hiking, traveling, hanging at coffee shops, going to the beach, reading, and spending time with the people I love most!
Blogging is something that is honestly out of my comfort zone, but something I have been interested in for a while. My family and friends provided a lot of encouragement though so I decided to give it a try! I think it’s so important for personal growth that we are always looking to try and learn new things, so here I am! As the name implies, I definitely plan to share my love for nursing and my journey through nursing school and the nursing world. I want to give encouragement and support to all the amazing nurses, nursing students, techs, and CNAs out there! Maybe even lead a few people to consider this amazing profession. However, if you do not fit into one of these categories, this blog can still be for you! I also look forward to sharing other things I love in life like cooking, active living, nature, travel, health, adventures, and family! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! I hope you will stick around for this journey with me!
