Hi! I’m Megan, the author and Registered Nurse behind the Peace Love Nursing blog! Thanks for stopping by. I’m a support group facilitator and founder for Nurses Supporting Nurses. I am exploring ways to use my nursing skills and education to help my fellow healthcare workers. I have been an RN for 5 years, I took the long route to get to the point of being a BSN, RN but I learned a lot along the way!
A brief synopsis of my nursing journey to this point:
- Obtained my CNA certificate my last semester of high school
- Worked in long term care/home health as a CNA while in my LPN nursing program
- LPN for 4 years in rehab (physical therapy)/Skilled Nursing Facility
- Started Peace Love Nursing Blog in April 2016
- Graduated from an LPN to ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) program in 2017
- RN for 3 years on a busy cardiac/telemetry unit. I was a new graduate preceptor and love teaching new grad nurses!
- Obtained my BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) from Medical University of South Carolina while working full time and planning a wedding!
- I finished my fifth travel nurse contract on the Space Coast, Florida in November
- Founded Nurses Supporting Nurses and facilitate weekly Nurse Support Groups
Along with taking the leap into travel nursing, my husband and I also made the decision to go tiny! We bought a 35 foot RV to call home while I am on assignment. We packed up a few belongings, our dog, Declan, and our cat, Annabelle to start our new adventure! We are currently living in our camper in a campground in Florida and we are loving it! I’ll be sharing a lot of travel nurse, tiny living life, and RV renovations post on the blog so check those out!
A little about me aside from my nurse life. I am a newlywed, we were married in October 2019. My husband is a web developer therefore he works full time from home and is able to join me full time on our travel adventure! We have a two fur babies earthside, Declan and Annabelle, and one sweet pup who crossed the rainbow bridge in December 2019, Southpaw (the pup in my wedding pic at the top of this page 🙂 )

Outside of work my passions include hiking, camping, being near the water (ocean, lake, river, it all makes me happy!), cooking, time with friends and family, a nice glass of wine or craft beer, traveling, and blogging. I started this blog in 2016 as a nursing student to share my journey. I am looking forward to sharing travel nursing and tiny home living as well as some lifestyle post! Thanks for being here! I hope you’ll take a look around and continue to follow along!
