Happy Tuesday! I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend, we certainly did! Friday was my 26th birthday, and Bradley planned a whole weekend of fun to celebrate. I am so lucky and blessed to have such a sweet and thoughtful man in my life! Thank you sooooo much for a fantastic birthday weekend, babe!
Disclaimer: Do not read this post if you are hungry, it contains lots of pictures of all the delicious food we ate this weekend! 😉 Also, I am far from a professional photographer, so forgive the fact the pictures are FAR from the best!
Friday
Bradley worked Friday, so that meant that I got to start my birthday off with a day of rest and relaxation! It turned out to be just what I needed after a busy week of work and school. Bradley make me a yummy breakfast before heading in to work paired with a cup of coffee. Southpaw and I lounged on the class for most the day. Later that afternoon we made a trip to the dog park before Bradley got home.
When Bradley got off work, we headed out for a surprise dinner.
When we pulled up to the Cheesecake Factory, I was surprised and excited! This is one of our favorite restaurant that we usually have to drive to Charlotte or Atlanta to enjoy. One opened up just a few miles from us in Greenville but we were waiting on a special occasion to go. Well, Friday Bradley decided my birthday was an appropriate occasion! We enjoyed good conversation over amazing food and a delicious cocktail.
For our appetizer we started out with the Ahi Tar Tare. It was a new dish for us and it was so delicious!
I started with a greek salad. It had a lot of big chunks of cumbers, which is one of my favorites! For dinner we split the Cajun Jambalaya Pasta. It had a kick to it, but was amazing, and even with us splitting it, we still had leftovers!
For desert we split the 30th Anniversary Cheesecake. Seriously, one of the best they have! Perfect ratio of chocolate and original cheesecake. Again, we couldn’t finish it, so in a box it went. Luckily, everything is just as delicious the next day!
After a fantastic dinner and a cup of coffee at Starbucks, we headed home to hang out with my sister and her boyfriend. We did one of our favorite pastimes of YouTubing music videos from back and jamming out! It was fun to have a low key end of the night with my sister, because we had to be up early Saturday to hit the road!
Saturday
Saturday we woke up, grabbed a cup of coffee (I used my free birthday reward for a Pumpkin Spice Latte with an extra shot!) and then hit the road to the mystery destination! We arrived in Atlanta around noon and met up with Bradley’s Uncles that live in Atlanta. I had never met them so it was the perfect opportunity to meet them. First thing we did in Atlanta upon our arrival was hit up a local Tex Mex restaurants. They had excellent fish tacos and the margaritas weren’t to bad either!
After lunch, we headed to Ikea! This is one of our favorite places to go! We love looking at the showroom. We picked up a few small items and got some great ideas for future plans! It was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon! #adulting
Saturday night we headed to Highland Tap, an fun and delicious restaurant in Atlanta. It had a great pub atmosphere and the food was anything so good! The Burger doesn’t look like anything special in the picture, but Bradley and I both give it two thumbs up.
We wrapped up the night with walking around Midtown, and a nightcap at City Winery-Atlanta. It was a really cool wine bar with a great atmosphere and wines that were made in house. Perfect end to a great day!
Sunday
Bradley’s Uncles were gracious enough to allow us to stay with them Saturday night. Sunday, we slept in, which was a treat! School and work require me to be up early and stay busy, so having a lazy Sunday morning was much needed. We enjoyed a French Press and casual conversation, before getting ready to head out to brunch.
They brought us to the Silver Skillet, a fun southern diner that has been in Atlanta since 1957. This has been the site of many movie and TV show film locations! The food is not fancy by any means, but it was delicious (if you ever go you HAVE to try the biscuits) and it had a fun atmosphere.
We did some more exploring of Atlanta after brunch to walk off some calories ;-). We found a cute farmers market and some shops to explore!
This coffee shop was in a shipping container, which Bradley was really excited to see. We love the tiny house movement and one of the latest things people are doing is building homes (or businesses) with shipping containers. It was really cool to see one in person!
Finally, we wrapped up our trip to Atlanta with ice cream at Jenni’s. It was some of the best ice cream I have ever had! The espresso ice cream tastes exactly like coffee, definitely give it a try if you are ever in the area! Thank you to Larry and Tom for being such fantastic hosts!
We arrived back in Greenville around 5 and I thought for sure we were coming to an end of birthday weekend. But being the guy he is, Bradley had one surprise left. We went to one of our favorite local restaurants and met our friends for my final birthday dinner! Unfortunately I forgot to get a group picture, but here is a pic of me and one of my best friends, Justin. We all are busy so we don’t get together as often as we use to, so it was great to see everyone. It meant so much to me to have people come celebrate my birthday.
As you can see, I had a truly fantastic and blessed birthday! I loved every minute of my weekend and I have to again thank everyone who helped to make it so special! Again, I have to give a special thanks to Bradley. He is always so thoughtful and loving, it warms my heart. Thank you again, Babe, I love you!
I hope everyone has a fantastic week! I have my final exam on tomorrow, so more studying is in my future!

Lol I laughed each time you said you put your cheesecake factory leftovers in a box. My bf and I went for the first time a year ago and still talk about how much food we took home. We were not ready! Fun post 🙂
